The fastest way to do anything: open the AI Assistant (the button in the corner, on every page, or the full Assistant page) and ask by chat or voice. It can brainstorm, write and edit songs, make cover art, upload audio, write captions, and plan releases — acting on your library and saving as it goes.

DashboardMake a Lyric Video
Upload audio to a finished lyric, then open the overflow menu → Lyric Video to launch the studio. Auto-aligns words to the audio; pick a template, add a beat-synced visualizer and cinematic effects, then export MP4 for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, or YouTube.

Pick a section of your song — usually the chorus, up to 30 seconds — and let AI direct a short cinematic music video for it. Performance shots sing your REAL vocal with native lip sync. Tap a platform preset (TikTok / Reels / Shorts / YouTube), review and tweak the shot list before you generate, then polish with shot transitions, an intro title card, synced caption styling, an end card, and a watermark — and export a social-ready MP4.

ReleasesConnect an AI Agent
Paste https://lyricalwriter.com/api/mcp into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP-capable client and sign in when the browser opens — no keys to copy. Your agent can then brainstorm, write, and save songs in your library on your behalf. Prefer a key for scripts? Create one in Settings → API Keys.

On the Ideas page, tap chips like Hip Hop, Viral, or Late-Night Drive — no typing required. Run out? Hit ‘✨ Get more’ for AI-generated chips unique to the ones you already see.
Switch AI Models
Pick from Gemini 3.5 / 3.1 / 2.5, GPT-5.5 / 5.4 / 4.1, or Claude Opus 4.8 / Sonnet 4.6 / Haiku 4.5 in the editor sidebar — each has a unique creative voice.
Talk or Type to the Assistant
The in-app Assistant runs the whole workflow by chat or voice — “write a song about…”, “rewrite Verse 1”, “make cover art”, “plan the release.” Tap the corner button on any page, or press ⌘J for hands-free voice. It remembers the conversation as you move around the app.
Tab to Take the Ghostwriter's Line
Turn on Ghostwriter in the editor toolbar and pause at the end of a line — a gray suggestion appears at your cursor, matched to your section's meter and rhymes. Tab accepts, Esc dismisses, typing ignores it.
Cover Art & Downloads
Generate artwork with AI, then download distribution-ready files at 3000×3000 (or custom sizes) in JPG/PNG. Enable AI Enhance for sharper results.
Dark & Light Themes
Toggle between dark and light mode using the theme switch in the navigation bar.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Use Ctrl/Cmd + Z to undo, Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + Z to redo, and drag sections to reorder your song structure.
Section Types
Structure your songs with verse, chorus, bridge, pre-chorus, outro, and custom section types.
Lyric Video — Stay on the Tab
When exporting a video on Safari or older browsers, the WebM path renders in real time — switching tabs can pause the render. Keep the studio tab visible until the progress bar finishes.
Hashtags Tuned for Reach
The Social Captions panel blends broad, niche, and long-tail hashtags per platform — IG gets 18–25 with three tiers, TikTok stays under 5, X under 3, YouTube includes searchable phrases. Banned tags are filtered automatically.
Synced Lyrics in One Click
After alignment runs in the Lyric Video Studio, the Export dialog offers .lrc downloads — line-synced and word-synced. Submit via your distributor or Musixmatch and your lyrics light up in time inside Spotify and Apple Music.
Ask Your Agent First
Connected via MCP? Tell your agent to call the whoami tool first — it confirms which LyricalWriter account it's acting on, whether the plan is active, and how much of today's AI quota is left, before any songwriting starts.
